MoMo Amazon Prime Channel

MoMo now has a TV channel on Amazon Prime. Mobile Motion Film Festival offer a spot on our new Amazon Prime channel to all our Award Winners and Official Selections.

Currently, there is a limited selection but there will be more in the future.

MoMo TV

Films selected for MoMo Film Festival can now be added to the Amazon channel. So, if you have had a film selected for MoMo in the past and want it to be included in the channel, get in touch.

Anyone can upload their film to Amazon, so you could do this on your own if you wish. But the big advantage of having it included in our channel is that the film will likely get more exposure.

As a filmmaker who has spent years self-distributing and marketing his own films, I know very well how hard it is to get attention for your work. Amazon is full of self-distributed films with almost no views. Driving traffic to your film is a time-consuming task, time you would probably rather spend making more films.

Meanwhile, traffic to MoMo is growing every year – our website currently gets about 60,000 page views per month. Some of those views will be directed towards the MoMo Amazon Prime channel. Added to that, by collecting films together in one channel, any traffic a filmmaker brings to his or her film will be shared with other films on the channel.

Requirements

To have your film included on MoMo TV it must pass our submission rules and have been selected for the festival at some point. Amazon Prime requires that you have a English subtitle (closed captions) file. Bear in mind, Amazon check to make sure the subtitles are synchronized with the audio.

Adding closed captions is actually quite easy and can be done using YouTube. Simply upload your film to YouTube (make it private). Then, manually add the subtitles. Once published, the subtitles can be downloaded as an .srt file.

UK & USA only

Unfortunately, the Amazon Prime Direct service only operates in 4 territories: USA, UK, Germany & Japan. And to be included in the Germany and Japan territories we need to add subtitles in those languages. While we hope to add Germany in the near future, Japan not an option for us at the moment.

That aside, we look forward to showing you some of the best films shot on mobile devices!
