Best Smartphone iPhone Film Bundle
So you’re thinking about shooting more polished looking video using your smartphone. Looking for extra gear but don’t know where to start? Maybe you’re planning to do some mobile journalism, but you don’t want to spend days mulling over each individual piece of kit.
One option is to look at smartphone filmmaking bundles. Some companies offer starter kits with a few items bundled together to save you time. We’d also hope to make a small saving over buying the items separately.
In this article, I’m going to look at a few of the better rated ones. Plus I’ll see if I can find out if there’s money to be saved from buying each item individually.

In this kit you get:
This is a good iphone film kit containing 3 useful items, which individually offer entry level kit on a budget. But do you save money from buying this bundle?
Verdict: Over Priced.
If you bought this bundle as separate items, you would pay less. However, shipping costs may make a difference as each item might be sent separately.

Movo Smartphone Video Kit V1
In this kit you get:
- Movo PR-1 smartphone grip
- Movo VXR10 mini shotgun
- Movo 30LED Video Light
- Movo RC101 bluetooth remote
The last 2 items are not available separately. But I found a similar 30 LED light here. And a simple bluetooth remote like this is relatively inexpensive.
A good starter kit by Movo. The grip can be mounted to a tripod or compatible selfie-stick. The items are good budget-range quality. But do you save money from buying this bundle?
Verdict: Over Priced.
Although not all these items are available individually, the price of the kit bundle is quite a bit over the combined cost if you bought separately and substituted the light and the bluetooth remote.

The Movo kit comes in a series, from V1 to V7 (but no V4), with some of the other kits being less expensive. The only difference between the kits is the microphone.
- V2: wireless lavalier clip on mic
- V3: 360 degree mic
- V5: mini shotgun mic with headphone socket
- V6: mini stereo mic
- V7: 60Hz-18kHz frequency response stereo mic
There’s also a super bundle (V8) which contains all the microphones from each bundle plus an extra 16 LED light and a tabletop tripod.

Another good budget range collection of iPhone film kit. This time there are some lenses and cleaning tools included too. But do you save money from buying this bundle?
Verdict: Good value.
When purchased separately the total cost would be quite a bit more than this bundle (at current prices).

Comica Smartphone Video Kit
In this kit you get:
- Comica CVM VM10 Microphone
- Flexible Smartphone Clamp
- Tripod
- TPS-TRRS Aodilo Output Cable for Smartphone
- Wind Muff
Some good basic kit to get up and running with a mic, clamp and mini-tripod. The legs of the tripod can be folded together to create a grip, so you can move quickly from table-tripod set up to handheld.
Verdict: Good value.
The price of the microphone alone is not much less than the full kit here. So if you are looking at a mini shotgun mic, for a few dollars more you could add mini tripod and clamp too. Not a huge saving, but better than nothing.

Mouriv Smartphone Filmmaking Kit
In this kit you get:
- Handheld smart grip
- Aluminum cold shoe extension bracket
- BOYA mini shotgun microphone
- Mini video LED light
What you get here is the BOYA mini shotgun plus Mouriv accessories. The other items are not available separately. Another good basic starter set, but is it worth it?
Verdict: good value.
Going by current prices, if bought the components were bought individually, the total comes to roughly 25% more than the kit.
