VideoProc iPhone & Smartphone Video Utility Tool
Something I stumbled on and thought looked interesting. So I downloaded the free version yesterday to try it out. Looks pretty good and has a huge number of features to cover a lot of activities…
What is it?
VideoProc is an all-in-one video-processing tool for editing, adjusting and converting HD video (including 4K UHD videos) for your Mac, Windows or other devices. In terms of editing, this is for cropping and shortening clips, rather than cutting together.
There’s a free version to test out. On downloading and installing you have to click through various offers before you can get started, which is a bit off putting. Once you get past all that, you can try out the program.
This looks like it could be a useful tool, particularly for converting video from one format to another. If you are trying to get drone footage to play on your iPhone, smartphone or laptop and it’s not accepting it, then this little tool could help you out. There’s a wide range of conversion and compression options.
Everything but a video editor
VideoProc includes six familiar tools for trimming, cutting, cropping, merging, rotating and flipping video clips. You also use it to adjust aspect ratio, add subtitles and change the video’s frame rate. There’s also stabilisation options and audio fix options, the kind of features you find in editing software.
There’s also GIF creation features, plus colour effects and all kinds of stuff which could be useful for creating quick video clips for social media or blog posts.
Most of the features are only available with the paid version – currently $43 for a lifetime purchase. VideoProc Website.
